The flywheel housing is supplied which measures 61 mm/2.4" long. This housing has the GM bolt pattern on the front and the Toyota 1HDT, bolt pattern on the rear.
The transmission torque converter is coupled to the LS engine via a crankshaft adaptor. The adaptor has a the Toyota bolt pattern and spigot diameter on the transmission end with the GM crankshaft bolt pattern and spigot diameter on the engine end. This allows the Toyota flex plate torque converter to be bolted to the rear as with the old 1HDT engine.
On the rear of the engine the GM flex plate is utilised, it is supported by the flex plate stiffener supplied in the kit. The stiffener is required to support the flex plate when the starter motor is engaged.
The kit is also supplied with an oil pressure sender adaptor, the adaptor is fitted in place of the GM sender located behind the intake manifold at the back of the engine block.
A water temperature adaptor is also supplied, the adaptor is fitted in the right hand cylinder head behind the exhaust manifold, it accepts the original Toyota sender.
The engine mounting kit consists of new engine block brackets and engine rubbers. The brackets bolt to the original style Toyota engine mount rubbers and up to the factory Toyota chassis brackets. The drivers side post will require some modification on most models to allow the A/C compressor to fit.
When using a factory Toyota transmission, the transmission and transfer case are moved forward 20-25mm to help reduce the amount of modifying required to gain enough clearance between the right hand rear coil pack and the firewall. A tail shaft spacer kit is supplied in the engine adaptor kits to save you needing to modify tail shafts.

The engine mountings are designed to offset the engine toward the left hand side of the vehicle to allow enough room to fit the A/C compressor.
The alternator and A/C compressor will need to be relocated with our relocation kit. This is due to interference with the chassis when the accessories are fitted to the factory mounting brackets.
NOTE 1: You will need to reuse the original GM auto flexplate from your engine.
NOTE 2: The factory automatic transmission will require a stand-alone computer to control shifting of the transmission once the original engine and ECU is removed.
NOTE 3: If fitting the LS series engine to an FJ80 and using this kit you will need to get chassis posts from an 80 or 105 series fitted with the 4.5L or 4.2L engines and fit them to your vehicle. Your original chassis posts will need to be removed.
