Our transfer case adaptor housing replaces the 6L80 / 6L90 automatic transmission extension housing and then fits to the Nissan transfer case using the original Nissan bolts. The adaptor is machined to accept the Nissan transmission mounts.

The 6L80E has an overall case length of 590mm / 23.23" without the extension housing. The adaptor housing for the Nissan GU is 161mm / 6.34" long. The combined length is the same as the Patrol 5 speed manual gearbox and our MFP1905 bell housing fitted together.

Nissan GU Patrol ZD30 Models Only

If the Nissan Patrol is fitted with a ZD30 diesel engine our engine mounts for the LS engines are bolt in. If you are replacing the ZD30 and 5 speed manual running this adaptor kit will bolt up to your factory crossmember. If you are replacing the ZD30 and 4 speed automatic transmission you will need to fit the ZD30 manual crossmember as the transfer case is positioned differently, alternatively you can run our MFG43000 adjustable crossmember, you will also need to replace or modify your front & rear tailshafts and low range lever to suit.

All other Nissan Patrol Models (TD, TB, RD, RB)

The engine mounts for If these vehicles are weld in. You will get the engine mount location once the gearbox and adaptor housing is bolted to your crossmember. If you require the engine to be mounted further rearward for some reason you will need to modify the crossmember mounts or run our MFG43000 adjustable crossmember. 

6L90 Transmission

The 6L90E tranmission is 35mm longer than the 6L80E transmission, therefore the transfer case is moved rearwards and modifications to the crossmember (or run our MFG43000 adjustable crossmember), tail shaft lengths and shifter will be required. The 6L90E transmission has 2 output shafts - this conversion is only suitable for the Holden HSV style (32T output shaft)  transmission from the 6.2 LSA engine.
