Designed to achieve the best possible low range ratio for Rock Crawling, or serious off road driving, Marks 4WD Adaptors now offer for Hilux / 4 Runner a Dual Transfer Case Kit manufactured by Advance Adapters USA. The standard Toyota transfer case is assembled from the factory in 3 basic portions. The front section of the transfer case including the gears and selector components along with the new adaptor are assembled into an independent transmission. This transmission is installed between the original gearbox (manual, TH700 etc) and the transfer case. This kit utilises the HI/LOW section of a
gear driven transfer case manufactured from 1979 on with a 21 tooth input shaft spline.
Note: The selector components from a transfer case previously fitted to a
4-speed transmission must be used. When installing this unit, driveline and transmission tunnel modifications are required. Since the standard transfer case is also being relocated further back, an extension speedometer cable will be necessary. The kit we offer fits the 21 spline gear-driven transfer cases. Rebuild kits are also available to those who wish to fit the gears into their own transfer case. The transfer case rebuild kit consists of all bearings, seals, gaskets, washers and nuts.
