Block Hugger Headers

Most Conversion projects require the use of exhaust manifolds that hug the engine block allowing the engine pipes to clear the chassis and brake pipes. Rams horn exhaust manifolds are perfect for most applications and make engine pipe installation easier. These manifolds are quite old and as a result are getting harder to find in good condition, subsequently making them more expensive.

Block hugger headers are a good alternative as the are similar in shape to the rams horn manifolds and as a bonus they don't crack when splashed with water as the are of tubular design, the same as extractors. For these reasons Marks 4WD Adaptors now stock header for small block Chevy engines.

 
Flywheels

Most Chevy V8 engines were fitted with automatic automatic transmissions as a result few second hand engines are fitted with flywheels. However these engines fitted with automatic transmissions usually come with a flex plate which is fitted with the starter ring gear and engine balance weight. Marks 4WD Adaptors manufacture a flywheel that bolts up behind the automatic flex plate thereby retaining the ring gear and the original engine balance. The flywheel is independently balanced and is drilled to accept the Chevy 11" clutch.

 
Clutch Kits

Marks 4WD Adaptors stock new 11" diaphragm type clutch kits, they suit our Chevy to Landcruiser engine kits.

 
Water Pumps

Chevy V8 engines were fitted with various water pumps, we stock the long type which is used in our mount and drive kits.

Two Piece Flywheel

  • Two Piece Flywheel to suit early Chevy V8 Petrol (168T ring gear) or Diesel. Drilled for Chevy and Toyota 11" clutch.

The Kit consists of: Flywheel, crankshaft bolts, flex plate bolts, and spacers.

 

  • Two Piece Flywheel to suit early Chevy V8 Petrol (168T ring gear) or Diesel. Drilled for Chevy and Nissan GQ/GU clutch.

The Kit consists of: Flywheel, crankshaft bolts, flex plate bolts, and spacers.

 

  • Two Piece Flywheel to suit Chevy Gen3 V8 Petrol (168T ring gear). This flywheel suits all late model engines including the 4.8ltr, 5.3ltr, 5.7ltr, and 6ltr.

The Kit consists of: Flywheel, crankshaft bolts, flex plate bolts, and spacers.

This flywheel is drilled to suit the GM 12" clutch.

Suitable can be identified as having a spigot diameter of 52.55mm and the bolts used to secure the flywheel to the crankshaft utilise a M11x1.5 thread.
