Bellhousing Commodore V6 & Oldsmobile 3.8 EFI V6

COMMODORE V6 AND OLDSMOBILE 3.8 LTR EFI V6

BELLHOUSING KIT

Marks 4WD Adaptors manufacture the MFK129 bellhousing kit to allow the fitting of Commodore V6 and Oldsmobile V6 EFI engines to Hilux/4-Runner petrol or diesel vehicles fitted with the standard Toyota G52 5-speed transmission.

Marks 4WD Adaptors manufacture the MFK129B bellhousing kit to allow the fitting of Commodore V6 and Oldsmobile V6 EFI engines to Hilux/4-Runner petrol or diesel vehicles fitted with the Marks heavy duty 5-speed or the Toyota R151 5-speed transmission. The difference between this kit and the MFK129 is the gearbox bolt pattern. The two patterns are similar in shape with the R151 being larger overall.

No kits are available to the mate any GM Engines to the Hilux/4-Runner 4-cylinder EFI petrol Automatic transmission.

MFK129 and MFK129B Bellhousing Kit

The bellhousing has been designed to space the engine away from the firewall in order to clear the V6 throttle body located at the rear of the intake manifold on non Ecotec and super charged engines. There are no firewall modifications, re-positioning of the transmission or drive shaft modifications required.

The clutch is coupled to the gearbox by a special gearbox input extension shaft. It has the GM spigot diameter with external spline on the engine end and Toyota spigot diameter with internal spline on the gearbox end.

The new input shaft allows the standard V6 GM clutch pressure plate with a V8 clutch disc to be used on the V6 flywheel. The V8 clutch disc provides less clutch shudder due to the clutch plate having stronger centre springs.

The thrust bearing and extension carrier supplied in the kit slides over the gearbox nose cone and will allow the Hilux/4-Runner petrol or diesel 4-cylinder clutch fork to be used with the new pivot supplied In the kit. The extension carrier is also supported by the new bellhousing.

The 3.8Ltr V6 engine bolt pattern is illustrated below.
