Marks 4WD Adaptors manufacture transfer case adaptor kits that allow the Ford C4 or C10 automatic transmissions to be bolted directly to Landcruiser BJ7# transfer case.

These kits will allow you to fit the Ford 6-cylinder or V8 engines with the Ford automatic transmission.

At the present time we do not manufacture any kits to fit the C4/C10 transmission to Landcruiser engines.

The C4/C10 type automatic transmission has the following gear ratios:

1st 2.46:1

2nd 1.46:1

3rd 1.00:1

The C4/C10 automatic has a case length of 300mm/11.8". The standard C4 bellhousing measures approximately 150mm/5.9". When coupled to the 160mm/6.3" adaptor housing will give you an overall transmission length of 610mm/24".
The transfer case adaptor housing replaces the original extension housing on the automatic transmission. This adaptor housing then mates to the Landcruiser transfer case. Under the new adaptor housing is a cast pad enabling easy mounting to a new cross member.

A new hi-low lever, mounting bracket is supplied with the kit and allows the hi-low lever to be mounted to the side of the new adaptor housing. A new spud shaft is also supplied which will accept the Toyota transfer case input and PTO gears. Should an overdrive or a PTO winch be fitted to the transfer case they can be retained.

The automatic transmission will need to be disassembled to replace the main output shaft with the one supplied in the kit.

The Ford V8 engine and C4/C10 transmission can be fitted to a vehicle previously fitted with a 5-speed gearbox without altering drive shaft lengths.

The output shaft is sold on an exchange basis (Australia only) and if not supplied with the original order a deposit of $110 will be charged. Change over shafts with a short spline on the front, or shafts that are pitted rusted or heat damaged will not be accepted. The deposit will be refunded when a suitable shaft is received at our factory. Postage or freight is the responsibility of the sender.
