For Toyota Hilux/4Runner Gear Driven Transfer Case

The gears have been designed to directly replace all of the Toyota Hilux 4 and 5-speed gear driven transfer case gears as fitted to all models from 1979 on with 21T input shaft spline. This photo is a typical 4-speed transfer case from a 1980 model which has the Hi-Low lever protruding from the transfer case. The later 5-speed has the Hi-Low lever  in front of the transfer case protruding from the 5th gear housing.

The gears have been designed for maximum strength by removing the backlash eliminators, creating a much wider gear as can be seen in this photo the three gears on the right are standard and the three on the left are the Gearmaster® gears.

Three ratio options are available, they are 4:1, 4.7:1, and 5:1.

The transfer case doesn't require any modification to fit the 4:1 gears,  however modifications are required when fitting lower ratios. Installation is relatively simple allowing the job to be undertaken by most mechanical work shops.

Rebuild kits are also available to those who wish to fit the gears into their own transfer case. The transfer case rebuild kit consists of all bearings, seals, gaskets, washers and nuts.
