Bell Housing Adaptor Kit to suit Holden V8 (Turbo Pattern) to Nissan Patrol GQ / GU (Manual Gearbox)

The kit consists of an adaptor housing that couples the Holden engines to the original Nissan petrol or diesel bell housing. The new adaptor housing measures 72 mm in length and spaces the Holden engine away from the irregular shape of the Nissan Patrol firewall. No firewall modifications or repositioning of the original transmission is required.

An input shaft extension is supplied in the kit, and the input extension shaft fits over the original gearbox input shaft. The new crankshaft spigot bearing supports the input shaft extension at the front and the gearbox input bearing at the rear, so no movement is experienced. The input shaft extension converts the Nissan gearbox splines to standard GM 10T dimensions.

A standard Holden flywheel and clutch (MCK117) is used for the conversion. A flywheel cover plate, thrust bearing extension carrier, spigot bush, and all the required bolts are supplied with the kit.

An oil pressure sender adaptor is supplied in the kit. The adaptor allows the original Nissan sender to be fitted to the Holden engine.

A water temperature adaptor is also supplied in the kit. This adaptor allows the original Nissan Temperature gauge sender to be fitted to the Holden engine.

Holden V8 Bolt Patterns

  • No kit is available to fit the Holden Trimatic bolt pattern, as this bolt pattern can not be machined into the adaptor.
  • When ordering Holden 308 V8 kits, please make sure the bolt pattern at the rear of the engine is a Turbo (Chevy) pattern.
  • Holden V8 engines are available with two bell housing bolt patterns; all 253 C.I. engines have the Holden Trimatic bolt pattern.
  • The 308 C.I. engines are available with the Turbo or Trimatic bolt patterns.
  • The 1988 VN and later 304 C.I. and 350 C.I. engines have the Turbo bolt pattern.
