LS Series V8 Engine to Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series 1VD 4.5L Diesel V8 (5 Speed Manual Gearbox H151F/H152F)

Our Marks4Wd Conversion Package comprises of our cast aluminium flywheel housing running a 3-piece steel flywheel, heavy-duty 12″ (300mm) clutch kit, universal engine mounts and modified rear drop sump kit.

The supplied flywheel housing measures 61 mm/2.4″ long and has the GM bolt pattern on the front and the Toyota 1FZ bolt pattern on the rear.

The kit is supplied with a flex plate stiffener that bolts up to the original GM flex plate. A crankshaft adaptor/spacer is bolted to the crankshaft securing the flex plate/ring gear and flex plate stiffener to the crankshaft. The original GM flex plate with the 168-tooth ring gear is used. The new steel flywheel is drilled and dowelled to accept the standard LandCruiser 4.5Lt 300mm clutch fitted to FZJ105 series engines.

The flywheel assembly is offset to the rear to place the clutch in its original position.

The flywheel assembly is heavier than a standard flywheel, giving greater inertia and allowing the engine to idle smoother. The extra weight also helps to give less chance of stalling the engine when off-road, climbing over rocks, and taking off on steep inclines whilst having no adverse effect on the engine.

The kit is also supplied with an oil pressure sensor adaptor, which is fitted in place of the GM sender located behind the intake manifold at the back of the engine block.

The water temperature adaptor is fitted in the right-hand cylinder head behind the exhaust manifold to adapt to the original Toyota sender.

Universal engine mount kit 713088 requires welding into the chassis

Our modified cast aluminium rear drop sump mfc20710 will give the front tie rod clearance. It also includes the AC Delco oil filter PF48E.

Bell Housing Requirements

You must purchase from a wrecker the FZJ79(or 105) bell housing, nose cone, input shaft, clutch fork, slave cylinder, etc.

This will convert your 1VD gearbox to the shorter 1FZ style suitable for our adaptor kit.
